The Escape Artist, Exposed

Here is a sister drawing to Jeans Creamer.  This ptitsa has the same face and pose but Lesko made a few modifications.  He trial and errors with breast size, their position and wardrobe.  Mr. Lesko once again experiments with viewing angles of the female figure.  It may be wrong but he just wants to see a tit in profile without going through too much trouble.
There is also a bit of a mystery in this drawing.  The positioning of her hands behind her makes me think she is bound and desperately trying to escape.  It may be Mr. Lesko can't draw hands, but there is no back to this drawing so I can't be sure.

Walk Like A 'Gyptian

What do have today?  Huck and Jim's seedy sketch of a 'gyptian queen. Nope.  We do have Lesko's attempt to render a woman in side profile.
Similar to Egyptian paintings and reliefs Lesko chooses the angle of view that best defines the figure, but D.K does not quite pull it off.  The face is perfect; in profile, expressionless, and eyes toward the future.  The legs, feet, and arm are accordingly in side view, but the hand is in front view.  I have no idea what is happening with her chest, it is beyond my ability to describe.  D.K. Lesko is not an ancient Egyptian artisan so I forgive him for these derivations and I thank him for creating one of my favorite drawings.  Enjoy!

It is interesting how Lesko transitions from sure -if not clumsy- line work into sketchy lines. Throughout these works he seems to have a problem with the lower half.  I can only hope he resolved these issues.

Lez Eat

These are pretty rough sketches done with pencil and marker.  I'm not sure why he switched over to marker, maybe to easily distinguish between the two women.  It could be a buddy or little brother helped with these drawings. It takes two...

Friday Floozy

Crinkled Cooze Banquet by D.K. Lesko

This drawing seems to have no other purpose than masturbatory. Lesko has not grasped, nor does he wish to, female body structure (muscles, bones) or foreshortening. It is what it is. A quick solid sketch with the greatest hits: big hair, big tits, big nest.  It is hard to believe at one time young boys had to draw their own awkward versions of the spread eagle.

A certain kindness, empathy, in the eyes.

The veil of a greater mystery.

Middle School Trick: OoglePuss to Octopus

Positive Thought: I really do admire Mr. Lesko's line work, it is sure and not sketchy.  He also has an ability to form interesting abstract shapes through his strong lines.

She's Gaht.....Shoulders

The first image I'm sharing is a real Jeans Creamer!
Imagined or cataloged woman with front and back views drawn on the same piece of paper.

Fascinating!

"all this daughter of eve needs to spring to life is a matching backside"

Unfortunately there are no dates on D.K Lesko's drawings so I can't list them in chronological order.  It would be interesting to see the growth or change in style.
A few questions for this particular drawing.
  • Why the afterthought bikini?
  • Why does she hide her hands in both views?
  • How do I know she's a brunette?
  • What happened to her arm bracelets and matching necklace?
  • Is the vagina just a hairy triangle?
It's bizarre how out of proportion the hips, buttocks, legs are.  D.K is definitely a shoulders man.

Discovery!

I'm Paw Jackson and I love Flea Markets. I collect records, keyboards, and old sci-fi paperbacks.  Four Seasons Flea Market is in my hometown of Campbell, Ohio and on a recent late summer visit I found a real treasure.  I was flipping through the boxes of my favorite (only) record dealer at Four Seasons and a cover featuring a muscled dude holding back some dobermans caught my eye.  It was lighter than usual and too flexible, "ah fuck no record".

Disappointment flashed to excitement as I found a collection of female studies by D. K. Lesko inside of Thor's "Keep The Dogs Away".  Considering the contents "Keep The Moms Away" would be more apropos.

The drawings are tucked in the sleeve for Blizzard Of Oz. Copious Stainage.

I was almost as excited as the time I bought a mint Wurlitzer 200A w/ sustain pedal for $35 at the same flea market. The dealer gave me the record cover for free since there was no vinyl and he didn't even want to know what was inside.

The initial goal of this blog is simply to share D. K. Lesko's conception of woman.  I'll share the compositions gradually, provide insights, and request MORE teenage boys visions of the feminine form.

Thanks, Paw
